Vista Clara Productions has reinvented itself. Director/Writer Derek Velez Partridge has partnered with Producer Ed Martin. Vista Clara Productions is now able to deliverer a number of services. A soup to nuts operation. Armed with a team of writers, and with an experience production staff,Vista Clara Productions can be a hired gun to develop you’re idea into it’s full potential or just supply support services. Ed Martin plans to put in place a business model, a vision in financing and distributing films, making the industry less prospective and more of an equity business. Together with Derek Velez Partridge, they’re bringing to market a diverse array of projects. There are many project’s in many different phases of development, some which are not represented on this website presently but please to take the time to browse some of our past work.

Vista Clara’s literal translation is “Clear View.” We embrace this as our mantra. We only take on projects when we can envision the entire process. From its conception we want to know what kind of film it is, what the marketing will look like, who are we making it for, who will watch it and if the concept is ‘outside the box’. Our goal is to put forth films that are unique and pure to their genre, but it’s approach and P.O.V. must be original, creating what we call, a clear view, Vista Clara….

Derek Velez Partridge: Writer/Director
Producer, Director Derek Velez Partridge was born in Astoria, NY on February 8th, 1969.

At 16, Derek moved to New Mexico where he wrote poetry, becoming an artist while learning the ancient style of pottery with the Pueblo Indians. The Indians provided him with a life lesson he will not soon forget: Surrender to your art and become a medium for your work. Derek believes that stories and ideas already exist, they are out there, complete. What writers and filmmakers do is allow them to come through. “Our job is to be curious, to seek out the truth; which is how it gets our personal touch, but it’s like streams of knowledge. We don’t create the truth, we discovered it on our own”. He has written, directed and produced numerous short films, music videos and commercials.

His feature film, No Deposit, No Return was highly acclaimed and went on to a wide distribution in Europe and Asia. President and Founder of Vista Clara Productions, Derek is presently in development of his second Feature Film called “The Miracle of Spanish Harlem” and along with his production team, they are putting together the media package. Amongst his many lifetime accomplishments are his marriage and becoming a father to three beautiful girls.
